Don’t fear refugees

Don’t fear refugees

What are you afraid of? What is Tulsi Gabbard afraid of? I’m afraid of fanatical Americans who don’t respect laws and others’ rights, much less the Ten Commandments.

I’m afraid of walking into some deranged American scenario: armed burglars; hardcore drug incidents (not marijuana); religious fanatics; insecure, inadequate cowards seeking notoriety; angry, violent men seeking revenge; gangs.

I am not afraid of refugees who applied (for refugee status), not immigrant status, after repeated interviews, background checks, status checks by the United Nations the State Department, National Counterterrorism Center, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, re-checks and re-interviews for new information and intelligence … .

Since 9/11, our security apparatus has been perfect regarding refugees — 750,000 resettled refugees have had no arrests or incidents of domestic terror. No refugees come directly from Syria.

These are not boat or raft people. These are 10 to 11 million displaced Syrians, 4 million refugees. There are 59.5 million displaced persons worldwide, 19.5 million refugees. Look up the definition of refugee.

Fifty percent of Syrian refugees are kids; 2 percent are men of combat age.

Does Tulsi Gabbard think the U.S. security apparatus can’t vet 10,000 additional refugees for the entire U.S.? Not 10,000 for Hawaii. President Obama once again stands on moral high ground.

Response to Borden

I would like to reply to the letter by James G. Borden, about God and murder.

Here are a few other things God has commanded.

1. Women must wear a veil when praying, women must never speak in church, women are not to teach, women must be silent in the presence of men.

2. If you do any type of work on a Sunday, including picking up sticks, you must be put to death.

3. If you ever divorce and remarry, you have committed adultery.

4. God breaks His commandment, “Thou shalt not kill,” 2,821,364 times, if you count the flood, then some 25 million, while Satan only kills seven times in the Bible.

5. If a man rapes a virgin girl, she must marry him and never get divorced.

6. If someone slaps your right cheek, offer him the left. (Do not shoot them with a gun, that would be breaking God’s commandment, and goes against the teachings of Christ, and you will go to Hell).

7. God commands you to kill witches.

8. Slaves should be equally respectful to good masters and bad masters alike.

Self-proclaimed Apostle Paul is a perfect example of people such as Borden.

Paul persecuted Christians, then saw that there was power and privilege to be gained by pretending to be a Christian. Paul said many hateful and evil things, and like most of the other evil people who wrote things in the Bible, Paul claimed Jesus or God wanted it that way.

Paul never met Christ in person. Paul was the world’s first conservative Christian.
